Shiloh - Blog Question #1
Marty
keeps Shiloh in a pen on his own property, even though he knows that Shiloh belongs to Judd Travers. How do you feel about this? Isn't this considered stealing? Do you think Marty made the right choice? Explain.

This is my comment for the purple group.
My opinion about Marty keeping Shiloh is that Marty is basically stealing Shiloh because, Shiloh is not his dog it's Judd's dog and even though Judd treats all his dogs wrong, Marty can not just steal the dog from him.

Marty should keep Shiloh because he is being mistreated. With Marty, Shiloh is cared for. He has space to play, food, and water.It may be wrong to steal, but it is for a good reason. If Judd does not understand that beagles run away because of things they can smell, he should not have bought him.
Marty should keep Shiloh because Judd Travers kicks the dog, does not love the dog, and does not feed Shiloh fully. Marty on the other hand will care for the dog, feed the dog, play with the dog, and not kick the dog.
I think Marty made the right decision to keep Shiloh. He made the right decision since Shiloh was being treated badly by Judd Travers. For instance, he was not being fed enough, and was abused to. Shiloh wanted to be with Marty and based on what Marty heard Judd say, he made the right decision.
I think that it was the right thing for Marty to do because when Judd took care of the dog he would mistreat the dog by for example kicking the dog and starving the dog.
I think Marty made the right decision because Shiloh was abused by Judd Travers.I also think Shiloh will now have a better life with Marty.Even though steeling isnt the best thing to do Marty made the right decision by giving Shiloh a better life.
I think Marty made the right the decision because this poor little dog (Shiloh) was being abused. Judd Travers would starve Shiloh and mistreat him. This wouldn't be considered stealing because Shiloh was being hurt and when Marty keeps him I feel that Shiloh is in comfort.
I think Marty made a very good decision. I fell very good for Shiloh and Marty. I feel this because Judd won't harm Shiloh anymore. Shiloh will also have a better home and life living in the pen Marty made with Marty. I don't consider it stealing. I don't consider it stealing because Animal Control will most likely go to Judd's house anyway and take all of his dogs away because he is abusing his dogs. So, I do not consider it stealing. I think Marty made a very good choice because Shiloh is getting abused by Judd.
i think he made a good choice because marty did not steal shiloh the dog ran away from his home, and now marty can enjoy shiloh and shiloh can enjoy marty.
I think Marty made a good choice because Judd was technically an animal abuser. Marty saved Shiloh from being possibly killed
No, it is not considered stealing from Judd because it is not his dog, but it is considered stealing from the real owner! Yes, Marty made the right choice keeping Shiloh in the because Judd abused Dogs and Shiloh like careless, kicks, and doesn’t give food, etc. Also, he has to be ready for the upcoming future problems that occurred by the choice. It would be easy for Marty to handle him because he loves him and Shiloh too! I have read a book, that a dog asks, for help to a human about dissecting his brain, so she felt sad for him and started doing crazy things.
In my opinion, Marty made a good decision because Judd was not a good owner and didn't care much about Shiloh. If Marty didn't make this decision, Shiloh would live a terrible life.
I think that Marty made a good choice because he could help the dog Shiloh from being abused by Judd.If Judd had found out that Shiloh had run away.Shiloh would be whipped and beaten.
Yes, Marty is technically stealing but he is doing it for a good cause since Judd was abusing Shiloh so Marty is saving Shiloh from Judd and take superheroes as an example, when superheroes destroy the city to fight the bad guy/villain, they aren't really doing anything to hurt anyone, they are doing it for a good cause/reason, just like Marty is.
Marty is stealing but he is doing the right thing by taking Shiloh so Judd can't kick Shiloh. So if Judd saw Shiloh again Judd would kick Shiloh has hard as he can. Maybe kill Shiloh.
Yes, Marty made the right chance keeping Shiloh because even though it is stealing, the dog is now in a better place. Plus Judd might kick or shoot Shiloh (pour dog).
I think Marty made the right choice, because Judd would always abuse and mistreat Shiloh. Marty always tried to feed, play, and give Shiloh water, unlike Judd who never fed him. Marty is always making sure Shiloh is having a good life, but Judd doesn’t really care about his dogs. I believe Marty “stole” Shiloh for a good reason.
I feel that Shiloh really needs love and attention, unlike Judd Travis. It isn't considered “stealing” because it doesn’t say it belongs to Judd Travis on the collar and if you have a dog you would need evidence and there is no evidence anywhere on the dog (Shiloh), but it is called stealing to whoever actually owns Shiloh (not Judd Travis). I think Marty made the right choice only because Judd is really mean, awful, and very not nice. I also think Marty made the right choice because the dog is really lean and it really needs someone nice to care for itself and feed it.

I think it was the right choice to keep Shiloh because when he was with Judd, he was being abused and was barely fed. With Marty he had everything! He has food, water, and is played with when available. Judd doesn't even come back for Shiloh when he loses him. That's why I think Marty made the right choice to keep Shiloh.
Yes, it is stealing but he did the right thing. in the book it said that Marty's dad saw a dag that was shot and killed. his dad also said that shooting a dog was never in season. So I think if he gave the dog back, shiloh would have been abused, not given food to, maybe even shot and killed. Now the last one was very unlikely because of the new police that made sure animals don't get killed of-season. Judd was a person that did not care for dogs and would abuse them if they did not do their work, so if shiloh ran off two times I think he would get really mad, But Marty kept him so it is fine so far.
I think that Marty did the right thing keeping Shiloh because he was being abused. I don’t consider it stealing beacause there was no sing of ownership on the dog or the collar. I feel good about this because now Shiloh will have a owner that he loves plus he won’t be abused which is bad.

I feel like getting caught in a web of lies never ends well. If you lie, it always leads to another lie, then another, and maybe even more. Most importantly, when you get caught by someone, you are in even more trouble than you would be in if you admitted the problem in the first place. I think you should try your best to NOT get caught in a web of lies.
I feel that when you say one lie, it leads to another and then you feel guilty and lying is wrong, even if he is doing it to save Shiloh, it doesn't make it right. Say if I was cheating on a test and I knew that if I failed this test, then my mom would take away something I loved, so I made up a lie just to keep that thing, it's still not right to lie. If you lie about something, then you have to make up another lie so no one figures out about the first one, then another, then another, and so on. So I think that Marty shouldn't be lying to everyone.
I think it is NEVER okay to lie even if it is for a good cause but if it is for a good cause that makes a lie a little bit more forgivable. To me the only time where a lie would be ok is in a life or death situation. When lying gets you in trouble hmmmmm.... oh got it say hit someone and that person tells on you then adult in charge asks you if you did it and you say no the adult is just going to keep asking you until you break and eventually when you break you will be in more trouble then you were way before when the adult asked you the first time.
Marty is in a web of lies but I think Marty is doing it for a good reason because Shiloh will get beat by Judd travers.
I feel that Marty did the right thing too pay out Shiloh for doing work for Judd to own Shiloh. But Judd did make a point, but Marty made a very good comeback with Judd by blackmailing him. Even though Marty is going to do all this work, I know it will be worth it to have Shiloh back with his family where everybody loves him.
